Time-saving Tips:
Save More Time and Save More Money!

"Time is money" - as we all know it. But it's also true the other way around: save time, save money! Keep this in mind whenever you travel!

When traveling, reduce the time spent for packing, preparing and you will not only gain more time, but will reduce your expenses!

Time and money are both burning issues for travelers. We're sharing several handy tips, advice...

Saving Time Before Departing

Spend less time when planning, preparing, booking and packing for the trip.

Gather information about the destination: some information is indispensable, you can't just travel "blindly" to any location. Use free online travel guides instead of buying paper guidebooks. Download maps and guide articles onto your laptop.

Obtain all necessary travel documents fast: check if your passport, your i.d. are valid and if you're traveling abroad, verify the respective country's embassy in your country to see if you need visa and how you can get it.

Make a list for packing and only take necessary items: this will make your luggage lighter, faster to carry and you even have to make sure that you won't have to pay excess baggage fees at the airport.

Book in advance for airport transfer services: these usually cost less if booked in advance, otherwise there will be more waiting line tariffs will be higher than if booked online in advance (and often it won't be possible to buy tickets in advance).

Buy travel insurance: never leave without travel insurance or you'll end up spending a fortune for even the simplest medical intervention.

Saving While Already on Your Trip

You can save time and money even while on your trip!

This goes down to how you manage time, how you manage your activities. All these will have an impact on your spendings!

Even sleeping times can influence your travel expenses!

If you are lazy and sleep until 10 AM, then you will eat later, visit attractions later, so you'll catch the huge crowds at the tourist hotspots (museums, monuments and other attractions). You will most probably postpone some of your activities, will spend more on transportation attempting to visit the missed places again.

Sleeping and resting properly and efficiently: go to bed early enough and get up early enough to catch the breakfast at the hotel; leave the hotel as early in the morning as possible to avoid the tourist crowds and to avoid transportation rush hour (usually leaving at 9 AM would be adequate, not earlier and not later).

Reduce the overall time spent in hotels: calculate when to go to the hotel and when to get back in order to minimize the time lost.

Bring Food: spend less time and money on finding and buying food, instead you should bring small amounts of fruits, sandwiches that will be enough for 1-2 days - it should reduce expenses for food; also consider bringing a small portable water heater for making warm tea in your hotel room (this can substitute warm soups).

Stay an optimal amount of nights at the hotel: calculate how long time you require for enjoying your trip (visiting, meeting etc.), getting used to the climate, time zone etc. - don't stay for too long or it will cost you extra...

Spend less time with various "unnecessary fun activities": cut down on the long beer-drinking and table chatting with pals and on unnecessary entertainment activities in order to spare time.

Eliminate as many "usual activities", as possible: don't wander around in shops and don't watch TV for hours, spend less time buttoning your laptop. These are things you can do at home too and will only eat your time; your trip will be far more enjoyable without these activities filling up your trip schedule...
