Submission & Listing Terms

 

These regulations are the website listing submission guidelines and policies of LastMinuteSpider.com.

 

1. Requirements for listing a website

 

1.1. Site functionality:

Any website submitted must be fully operational, must not contain broken links, errors of any kind, nor must it contain pages that are under construction.

Multiple browser compatibility must be ensured, this meaning that the submitted website must be able to function properly in the following web browser programs or their newer versions/variants: Firefox 2.0, Internet Explorer 7.0, Netscape Navigator 7.2, Safari 3.0.4., Opera 9.26.

We do not accept websites that contain frames.

We do not accept websites with "intro" pages.

We do not accept websites that consist primarily of Flash and/or other types of animations.

Site must not redirect users form any page, service or product to another domain/site. We do allow visible links/listings/advertisements pointing to external sources.

We do not accept websites that don't have a comprehensive layout and easy to use interface. We reject websites that are not easily navigable.

 

1.2. Site theme, category, content, quality:

Site must have at least 1 section that is last minute travel-related and its theme must be suitable for the category you submit to.

We do not accept affiliate sites, but we do accept sites with a small number of affiliate links if their main activity is not based on affiliate activity.

Site content must be complete and of high quality. We do not accept sites that contain errors, mistakes of any type (for example: visual errors, web design errors, grammatical mistakes, etc.).

The site's main page must be in English. Only sites with English as their primary language are included, if considered adequate after the review.

WE DO NOT ACCEPT SITES THAT CONTAIN ABUSIVE, VIOLENT, HARMFUL CONTENT TO ANY GROUP OR INDIVIDUAL.

WE REJECT ALL SITES CONTAINING UNETHICAL, IMMORAL CONTENT OF ANY KIND, THIS INCLUDES LINKS TO OTHER SITES, AS WELL AS INFORMATION TAKEN FROM OTHER SOURCES AND DISPLAYED ON THE SITE SUBMITTED.

WE REJECT WEBSITES WHOSE CONTENT IS IN CONTRADICTION WITH HUMAN VALUES, FAMILY VALUES. ALL SUBMITTED WEBSITES MUST BE FAMILY-FRIENDLY.

 

1.3. Products & services featured on the submitted website:

You must provide a paid travel product and/or service of your own in order to get listed.

We do not accept purely informative websites, nor do we accept sites primarily selling products/services of other sites/companies or advertising them excessively.

 

1.4. Spam-related issues:

We do not accept sites that contain repetitions of keywords, nor do we accept sites that list similar content of any type in a repetitive manner.

We do not accept sites that have linkfarms, buried links or anything similar that can be considered link-related spam or an unjustified collection of many external links.

We can, however consider to review those sites that have well presented and organized "partners" or otherwise called pages where the links of other, mostly relevant sites are listed in a non-spammy manner.

We reject sites using automatic pop-ups, pop-unders, floating images or any similar content that bothers navigation.

 

1.5. Advertising of 3rd parties:

Sites containing excessive advertising will be rejected.

Sites that display ads above their main logo will be rejected, regardless whether the respective ads promote own services/products or those of other parties.

We reject sites whose content mainly consists of listing 3rd parties.

Sites containing excessive non-travel-related advertising and any other irrelevant outgoing links will be rejected.

Sites containing misleading advertising content of any type, either promoting own products/services or those of other sites will be rejected.

Sites that call on their visitors to click on ads will be rejected.

 

1.6. Relevancy:

Submitted listing information must be relevant to last minute travel.

If only a section of the site is last minute travel related, then the site can be considered for review. If the site has no content related to last minute travel, then it will be rejected.

You can submit listing request even if you only have a single page offering paid last minute travel services.

Quick links, banner and description as well as any other information provided to us when requesting a listing must be relevant to the category you submit to. Otherwise, the request will be rejected.

 

2. Submitting a website

 

2.1. How to submit a website:

On the listing submission page, select a suitable category for your listing. Make sure it is the right category, otherwise your website will be moved to another page, in case we do accept your request. If there is no suitable category for your website/webpage, then do not submit, because all irrelevant listings are rejected.

You have to enter the category you wish to submit to from the main page of www.lastminutespider.com. After entering the category, you will notice the horizontal "Website listings" bar in grey. On the right part of that bar you will see the payment options with prices displayed. Select the one you wish between yearly and permanent listings.

After the selection you will have to fill out a form with details and read the "Submission & Listing Terms" (the text you are reading right now). After carefully filling out the form and checking the box "I have read and I agree with the Submission & Listing Terms", you will submit the information and you will be then be directed to the next page, where you will find explanations about how to go further.

You will then have to wait until the 7-day review period passes. Within that time frame, we will let you know if your application has been accepted, but we will not put it online, unless you pay. If accepted, you will receive an e-mail with a secret access code to the page, where you can pay.

You will buy from our authorized retailer's page (2CO.com).

You will have to pay within the next 7 days from the date we have sent you the access address and code for the payment page. We will then display your listing. In case you don't pay within 7 days, your request will be erased and you will have to resubmit.

 

2.2. Submission form contents, listing elements

You will have to select the passing category for your website and fill out all fields of the form, except the "Invitation code" field, which is not compulsory. All other fields must be filled out as required on the submission form page, otherwise the listing will be rejected. We reject incomplete and inadequate information submitted.

Listings have the following elements: website title + 3 words, banner, banner alt text, description (between 400-800 characters), 3 quick links (title + 3 words), flags of countries in which your clients are located will be displayed in your listing.

If you do not provide all the information needed for the listing elements, your request will be rejected.

 

2.3. In case of submission errors:

If you encounter errors of any nature when submitting a website, contact us. Do not attempt to submit the site again, unless we advise you to do so after you contact us and describe your problem.

 

2.4. Resubmitting a website:

Resubmission should only take place in the following situations:

 

(1) - You encountered an error when submitting your site information or when attempting to pay, therefore you have contacted us and we have advised you to do so.

 

(2) - After carefully reading our "Submission Listing Terms" and taking the necessary steps to adapt your site to the requirements and after a minimum time period of 30 days after you have first submitted your website and it wasn't accepted.

 

2.5. The review process:

The free review takes 7 days and does not guarantee the listing of a website. Guarantee-related rules are described under Section4.

 

3. Paying for the submission service

 

3.1. Payment for the listing:

You will only have to pay after you have been accepted.

Payment is for website listing. The review is free.

Fees are payable in Euros and are indicated on the submission for page, as well as on the payment button and the 2CO payment processing page.

For details about the submission process, please check section 2.1.

 

3.2. Payment system used:

Our authorized retailer is 2CO.com (2CheckOut.com). You will buy the services from 2CO.com.

 

3.3. Payment security:

The security of transactions is the responsibility of 2CO.com.

All payments are don through a secure interface provided by the above mentioned company.

 

3.4. Payment currency:

Our prices are in EUROs, but the payment system we use allows you to pay with any major accepted credit and/or debit card. You have the possibility to pay with USD and other currencies, as shown by 2CO on the payment page, where you will enter your credit card/debit card details.

 

3.5. Payment refund:

You may request refund within 15 days of payment.

  

3.6. In case of transaction-related problems:

If 2CO.com rejects your credit card/debit card or if the transaction does not go through properly, then contact us to discuss the problem. In case of major problems, such as card declination, we may hold your listing request for 30 days from the date of our e-mail sent to you with the payment page address and access code.

    

4. Issues regarding guarantees

 

4.1. No guarantees for normally submitted listings without "Invitation code"

THERE IS NO GUARANTEE THAT YOUR SITE WILL  BE LISTED IF YOU HAVE NO VALID INVITATION CODE.

 

4.2. Guaranteed listing for websites with "Invitation code"

If you have received an invitation code, then your listing is guaranteed! Simply submit the site and introduce the "invitation code" to the indicated box on the submission form page. Shortly you will receive a message which will notify you that your submission has been approved and then you will receive the access address and code to the payment page.

We provide this single-use "Invitation code" to a select few websites. The code cannot be reused or passed or used with other URLs.

The "Invitation code" cannot be obtained through request. We issue this code ourselves for pre-selected sites, which we consider highly important for our content, useful for our visitors.

  

4.3. Listing after acceptance

Your site must comply with out "Submission & Listing Terms" even if it has been accepted.

If a listed site is found not to comply with our rules, it will be temporarily removed and warned about the problem. In order for to be placed back into our index without any charges, no resubmission will be necessary, but a simple e-mail message. The site is reviewed again and if it respects the "Submission & Listing Terms", it will be placed back.

If more than 30 days pass from the removal of the site and it still doesn't comply, then after this period the site will only be put back if it is resubmitted (this meaning payment is also necessary).

 

5. Possible modifications of listing, cancellation of yearly listings

 

5.1. Modifications of your listing

If you require modifications of your listing, then contact us. Do not attempt to resubmit.

You can change every element of the listing by providing us new information by e-mail. For identification, you must use the same e-mail address and/or provide us the name of the person who submitted it.

WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO MODIFY, EDIT, MOVE LISTINGS TO OTHER CATEGORIES WITHOUT PRIOR NOTIFICATION TO THE WEBSITE OWNER. NO SUCH MODIFICATION OF LISTINGS WILL RESULT IN REMOVAL OF LINKS OR BANNERS, UNLESS THE ARE FOUND NOT TO COMPLY WITH OUR SUBMISSION LISTING TERMS.

   

5.2. Canceling your yearly listing

If your site was accepted and is listed with a yearly fee on www.lastminutespider.com, you can renounce this service by contacting us. 

In order to cancel your yearly listing, you will have to contact us. We cancel recurring annual fees starting with the next payment cycle. You will not be charged the following year's fee if you contact us and request a cancellation.

In case you request cancellation after entering another payment cycle, then you will not be refunded. Each request to cancel recurring annual fees should be sent before the start of the next payment cycle.

Listings will remain active on our site for the paid period, even after you request a cancellation of payment. Your listing(s) will remain active throughout the period for which you have already paid for.

You may request the immediate removal of your listing from our site by contacting us.

 

6. Changes of the "Submission & Listing Terms"

 

6.1. Changes may occur at any time without any notification

Our "Submission & Listing Terms" can be modified at any time, therefore make sure you have checked the newest version, just before submitting.

 

6.2. The status of websites listed before changes made to the "Submission & Listing Terms"

The changes of the "Submission & Listing Terms" only apply to newly submitted websites. Those sites that have already been accepted and listed on LastMinuteSpider.com, are not affected by any modification of our policies, only new listing requests have to comply with the updated policies.
