Benefiting From Travel Booking Coupons
If you have the right coupon, you'll save when booking travel services. It's a popular thing nowadays, yet many travelers either don't know about this trick or, they don't have the "magic" coupon!
This method of price shrinkage is used as a promotional technique in many industries, but it's a bit less popular in travel and tourism.
How Discount Coupons Work
Consumers search the internet for coupon codes, but usually they do so in order to buy products and/or services of other industries. It's popular among hardware- and software-selling IT shops, restaurants and entertainment clubs.
Sites like Groupon.com, Coupons.com, Savings.com are wide-spread among discount-seekers. Online vouchers and coupons are increasingly popular and companies ingeniously exploit this marketing trick: they attract and retain enthusiastic clients with ease.
But, travel also allows coupon booking. Although, not very common, it is possible and there's an upward trend: more agents, airlines, hotels and other companies are offering coupons. Although, because of the travel industry's characteristics, companies prefer to use other methods of attracting clients, so travel coupons and vouchers will probably remain in the background for quite some time.
Usually these "secret codes" are spread-out through narrower channels, such as social media, newsletters and other means in order to target either already existing customers or registered members.
Coupons generally...
Have a limited use: they work for a short period to a limited number of sales - usually they are single-use alphanumerical codes, which expire at a certain calendar date
Are published in a way that "not everybody finds out about them" - otherwise everything we ever buy would only be sold with coupons, therefore discounted. and the companies would make less income... logical - the companies don't want everyone to benefit from them, it would be nonsense.
Tend to be given to members, loyal clients or for special occasions in order to either keep existing clients (customer retention) or re-attract the old clients or, these discounts are also useful in attracting the attention of new potential clients - as a marketing technique, but in the latter case, they're used solely for attracting, therefore for only a short period or single time.
Expire fast and are being looked-after by a number of people who will quickly buy the advertised services. you might as well call them "coupon junkies". Often, coupons work a certain number of times. You'll have to act faster than others.
Are you a "coupon junkie"? You'd better be! Hunt and use the discount codes that we publish and you'll pay less: not always, but more often than ever before!

How Much Will You Benefit?
If with last minute price-cuts you can spare up to 75 % (generally around 20-50 %) of the original price of the travel service, then the coupon can have a similar effect. Most coupons reduce the price 10-25 %, but they go as high as 60-70 % (rarely).
It's easy to understand that using a code combined with late offer prices is almost like "shooting two rabbits with a single bullet" - as they say...
Let's take an example... The published ("ordinary" or "normal") price of a plane ticket is 300 $. But, you'll discover a last minute airfare deal offering it for "200 $ - you save 30 %". And if you have a working -25 % coupon, apply it and you'll get: 150 $ final price (200 $ - 25 % = 150 $).
Marvelous!
